2PM‘s Chansung celebrated his 24th birthday (Korean age) with the cast and staff members of ‘7th Grade Civil Servant‘.

“Thank you to everyone who congratulated me on the set of ‘7th Grade Civil Servant’ ^^,” he posted to his Twitter. “I wasn’t even thinking about it, but I was moved when everyone celebrated my birthday even amidst the busy schedule. Thank you^^ I’ll do my best!”

Accompanied with the post was the group photo above showing Chansung holding a birthday cake while being surrounded by actress Choi Kang Hee, Kim Min Seo, and staff members.

International fans also got into the birthday spirit trending #HappyChananaDay all the way to #1 on the Twitter worldwide trending list.

Group members of 2PM, Taecyeon and Junho, have recently displayed their support towards their fellow member, Hwang Chansung.

It has been revealed that Taecyeon and Junho participated in the OST recording of the recent MBC Wed-Thurs drama Level 7 Civil Servant (Writer Cheon Sungil, Director Kim Sanghyeob).

The song The Way to You, sung by 2PM Junho featuring 2PM Taecyeon, is expected to blend in with the drama here and there while raising the excitement of the drama even more. Until the love-hate relationship between Han Gil Ro (played by Joowon) and Kim Seowon (played by Choi Ganghee), that is filled with conflicts and odd feelings, develops to the next stage, this song will be the main theme of their relationship.

The production crew of the drama stated, “The Way to You circles around the love song theme, as it is a song that acts as a love messenger who gives strength to lovers out there who are experiencing conflicts in their relationship, giving support to them during sweet and happy moments. Along with their polished vocals, you’ll feel as if their voices are snuggling into your ears and heart. Moreover, the song holds an even deeper meaning as it is personally sung by Junho and Taecyeon, who bear a very close relationship with Hwang Chansung.”

Do take note that this is not the first time Taecyeon and Junho are participating in an OST. They’ve earned quite the reputation with their participation in drama hit songs, such as the KBS drama Dream High featuring Taecyeon, the MBC drama Feast of the Gods, as well as a Taiwanese drama with an OST titledUnbeatable featuring Junho. These two individuals are currently gathering a lot of interest as to whether they’ll be able to make another powerful drama OST.

On a side note, the MBC Wed-Thurs action-romance drama Level 7 Civil Servant tells the story of new agents from the NIS who don’t trust in anything but love. It is scheduled to start airing on the 23rd of January at 9:55PM, continuing after the drama I Miss You.

Big Bang and 2PM’s concerts were recently selected as the best concerts in Japan.

On January 9, the Oricon Style, one of the major music sites in Japan, reported that Big Bang and 2PM ranked in the top eleven concerts of 2012, selected by the Oricon Chart, with their concerts.

Big Bang went on a tour of Japan from May last year as part of their world tour under the title of Big Bang Alive Tour 2012 in Japan. 2PM held six concerts at the Budokan in Tokyo last year under the title of 2PM Live 2012 Six Beautiful Days.

About Big Bang’s concert, the Oricon Chart said, “We were very surprised by the quality of Big Bang’s concert. Along with their addictive songs, everything in Big Bang’s concert was as great as their creativity.”

About 2PM’s concert, “Despite the fact that one of the members got hurt before the concert began, they perfectly held the concert for six days. The most attractive part of their concert is the members’ dance, singing, and distinctive characters. They also gave different individual performances for the audience in every concert. Because of the scale of their performance was so big, the stage seemed so small.”

Amuro Namie, Yamashita Tetsuro, Oda Kazumasa, and Perfume’s concerts were also selected as the best concerts by the Oricon Chart.

The eleven best concerts were selected out of 141 live concerts the editors from the Oricon Chart attended.

Nickhun treats disabled children a meal for Mitsubishi Mirage

The fanclub is delighted with 2PM’s Nichkhun, who treated disabled children of Pakkret to a meal as a presenter for Mitsubishi Mirage

On Saturday, November 30th, 2012 at 10:00am, an event for the foundation to help those with disabilities, under the patronage of the royal princess, took place in Prakket. Nichkhun Horvejkul, a member of Korea’s top boyband group 2PM, joined in and treated the disabled children to a meal sponsored by Mitsubishi Mirage (Thailand) as a presenter.

Nichkhun is partaking in this activity for children with disabilities, as well as winners of the Mirage Family. This consists of approximately 60 people and also includes the executives of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand), led by marketer, Mr. Yuji Yamada. The children were given lunch, ice cream, and also had the chance to participate in recreational activities in hopes of building support and smiles within these underprivileged children. The atmosphere was filled with smiles and playfulness. The children were delighted to have spent their time and share their joy with a superstar.

Nichkhun gave an encouraging message to the children, “I wish you to always be/become a good person, and please grow to be a good example for our nation’s future.”

Furthermore, Nichkhun is preparing to participate in the Motor Expo event on December 1 at 16:30.

With only a few days left before their first shooting, Choi Kang Hee and Joo Wonhave finally met for the first script reading rehearsal for their new MBC’s upcoming drama, ‘7^th Grade Civil Servant‘, which has recently changed its name from ‘TheSecret Lovers‘ to match the original movie version title.

The drama’s cast members, including Joo Won, Jang Young Nam, Choi Kang Hee, 2PM’s Chansung, gathered at MBC’s Dream Center in Ilsan on November 13th to break the ice and rehearse their script. Choi Kang Hee, who’s taking on the female lead ‘Kim Seo Won’, commented, “It’s been a while since I’ve been in an exciting drama such as this. I’m happy to be working with senior actors whom I’ve always respected.”

Joo Won, who will be playing the male lead of ‘Han Gil’, said, “I’m still lacking in areas so I’m grateful to have been given an opportunity to play a great role like this. I’m looking forward to learning a lot of acting from my amazing new seniors.”

2PM’s Chansung, who will be playing ‘Gong Do Ha’, a special agent, earned a round of applause from the cast after belting out “Hands Up” at the scene. He greeted everyone by saying, “I’ll do my best not as 2PM’s Chansung but as actor Hwang Chansung.”

MBC is planning a January 2013 premiere for the secret agent-themed drama.

2PM saluted the dedication of their fans with a special video that was aired during their Shanghai concert yesterday.

Filmed to express their appreciation for Hottests who had stuck with the group through thick and thin, the film aroused emotions in the packed stadium, with cheers erupting from the audience as the video letter was revealed.

The letter shows the 2PM members celebrating their success and the bond crafted between themselves and their fanclub, simply ending with “for Hottest”.

Having already revealed the individual and group posters for their upcoming tour ‘What Time is It?‘, 2PM has now unveiled audio previews of the solo songs ofWooyoung, Taecyeon, and Junho.

The previews all include 1 minute samples of the member’s solo tracks: Wooyoung’s “Sexy Lady“, Taecyeon’s “It’s Time“, and Junho’s “Just a Feeling“.

Wooyoung will be showcasing an even more upgraded performance of his solo track for the upcoming concerts, while Junho will be revealing the track he specially composed for this concert series.

Although Nichkhun will be joining the rest of 2PM for their upcoming ‘What time is it?‘ concert in Shanghai, Nichkhun was recently spotted with the rest of his fellow members at the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.

Earlier today, 2PM arrived in Thailand as they’re scheduled to film advertisements for Thailand’s dictionary program “Easy Dict“. Nichkhun was joined by his fellow members and member Wooyoung was also spotted sporting a new red hairstyle.

It’s good to see Nichkhun with his fellow members once again.

‘KOICA’s Dream’ releases photos of Nichkhun and Taecyeon volunteering in Tanzania

Last month, 2PM‘s Nichkhun and Taecyeon had left to Tanzania through MBC‘s ‘KOICA’s Dream‘ in order to participate in volunteer work.

The two 2PM members were there with other KOICA members from the beginning of October for about 20 days. The team performed various volunteer tasks such as fetching water, creating wooden vessels to move emergency patients, creating fog collectors, solar panels, fixing up the elementary schools, and looking after the health of the local residents in Tanzania.

Taecyeon joined Nichkhun a little later, but the two were so busy that they could barely greet each other. Nichkhun greeted Taecyeon with a shovel and pushed him over to the solar panel installation sites when he arrived. Nichkhun had hidden himself from the general public because of his accident, and he took up the opportunity immediately when he was recruited. He said, “I couldn’t go anywhere and I was home for 2 months. When I was recruited, I accepted immediately. I was able to understand why people look for this kind of hardship.”

When asked if he was planning to return to broadcast with his community service, he said, “No, I don’t have any special plans to“. He added, “For a while, if chance permits, I want to do community service where people won’t be able to see or know about.”

Junsu decided to change his name to Kim MinJun from Kim Junsu. He will be called Jun.K from now on for 2PM. :) He will no longer be using the name Junsu.

2PM’s new Japanese single “Masquerade” is proving to be an instant hit in Japan. Their single which was released on the 14th of October immediately rose to the top of Tower Records online chart. Tower Records is Japan’s largest mobile ringtone chart holder and topping their chars is quite an achievement.

Their song “Masquarade” is a dance song with a heartbreaking story behind it’s lyrics. The guys of 2pm sure captured the hearts of their listeners with their smooth vocals and masculinity as well. Meanwhile, the boys of 2PM are preparing for their Japan Arena Tour to start in January 2013. They concert tour is expecting over 150,000 audience in total.

1. Regarding 2012 2PM LIVE TOUR “WHAT TIME IS IT” 
This time for 2PM LIVE TOUR “What Time Is It” outside of korea, firstly we apologize for not being able to secure everyone’s HOTTEST fanclub’s section, there won’t be section for HOTTEST this time. We tried our best to secure a section for fanclub (hottest section), the seat will be determined according to arrive sequence (first come first serve basis). We hope everyone can understand the situation where it is hard to apply special privilege for Korean Fans. In reality, during the last Asia Tour, when we secured a section for hottest fanclub to enter first according to who enter the stadium first (among the hottest 3rd section), we received many complains from the local agencies and sponsors. We apologize once again for the inconvenience we are causing towards the fans. (Summary = Basically there wont be a secured “HOTTEST” section for 2PM’s LIVE TOUR.)

2. Regarding HOTTEST 4th recruitment
In the same time we are clarifying regarding the recruitment, the official active period for Hottest 3rd is from, July 8th 2011 until July 7th 2012. But, in the middle of July during Jang Wooyoung solo album release, and the unavoidable arrised issue that happened in the end of July, Hottest 3rd has ended and we can’t recruit/open Hottest 4th right away, and, after Jang Wooyoung’s solo album promotion concluded we tried our best to give benefit like we gave to Hottest 3rd during 2PM members’ past promotion. We apologize deeply for not putting up the notice regarding this earlier. 

We are trying our best to be able to open HOTTEST 4th for all the fans that loves 2PM as fast as we can. We will update regarding Hottest 4th recruitment soon. (Summary = Hottest 3rd is finish and for now they can’t open Hottest 4th yet, but they are trying their best to be able to open Hottest 4th. But for now, not yet and more details will be posted soon.)
