TVXQ, 2PM and T-ara vault into the top ten level of the Oricon Chart
TVXQ, 2PM and T-ara revealed new songs at the same time on Nov. 30. The Korean groups vaulted into the top ten level of the Oricon Chart, a renowned music chart in Japan.
TVXQ’s “Winter Rose” recorded 76,615 copies in sales on the same day, climbing to the second position on the Daily Chart. As a cheerful carol, this is one of the most anticipated songs.
Right following “Winter Rose,” FT Island’s “Distance” and T-ara’s “Yayaya” placed their names on the fourth and seventh positions respectively. “This Christmas” jointly sung by singers belonging to JYP Entertainment, revealed on the same day, ranked 14th on the chart.
On the Oricon Album Chart, it is also possible to find Korean singers.
2PM’s first Japanese album, Republic of 2PM, recorded 25,756 copies in sales in a day since its release, ranking second on the Album chart right following the popular Japanese girl group Perfume’s new album,JPN.
Kara’s new album, released on Nov. 23, continues its popularity. The album sold out 15,248 copies just in a day since its release.
TVXQ, SNSD and Kara were all invited to the NHK Red & White Year-End Music Festival to hold in December in Japan. They are highly expected to display fantastic performances that live up to their reputation as representative stars of K-POP.
